The Changing Face Of Politics In America

Published by truth2u under News, Politics, obama Edit This

I woke up this morning ready to write my articles but I got sidetracked by news that had already been written. These are three outstanding articles about politics, war, deceit, lies that revolve around decisions – right or wrong - and the price paid for those decisions.

Attorney General Eric Holder’s Dilemma

Bush-era torture – Should a probe be held in this matter? While Obama feels we should not waste time looking back but move forward in a more positive way, Attorney General Eric Holder is struggling within himself to decide if he is going to be a “team player” or do what he feels is right. The question he keeps replaying in his head is: How does one faithfully serve the law and the president? This is a difficult decision indeed. Where will this question lead Eric Holder in the weeks to come? Read more at the link above.

The CIA Project And Cheney’s Involvement

Dick Cheney was the “point man” in the secrecy of the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) decision to withhold pertinent information, regarding a secret counterterrorism program, from Congress for the past eight years. This was on the orders of then Vice President Dick Cheney. Yet, this is not the first time the truthfulness of the CIA has been called into play. As early as the 1970’s, per the above article, the CIA had come under attack after disclosures of agency assassination and mind-control programs where uncovered.

During all of the “civil rights” movement they had their watchful, propaganda filled agenda directed at certain black members of society and their different organizations. For me growing up in the era of the civil rights struggle, I have always carried with me a basic distrust for the CIA, their methods and agendas. Now their involvement in deceit is again called to the attention of Americans.

A Call To Jihad From Somalia, Answered In America

Bush and his Administration had their hands in the mix of so much negativity, deceit and cover-ups to create an extensive amount of hate and discord throughout the world – I may have a better understanding of President Obama’s visit to Ghana over the weekend after reading this article. These are paragraphs of interest, direct quotes from that article explaining why Somalia-Americans left America to answer the call to Jihad in the continent of Africa and why at this time this could cause a threat to America now:

“In Washington, officials of the Bush administration saw a threat to East African stability. Hard-line factions of the Courts were thought to be sheltering Qaeda operatives and had declared a jihad against neighboring Ethiopia, a predominantly Christian country. In December 2006, Ethiopian troops crossed the border and routed the Islamist forces with intelligence support from the United States, beginning a two-year occupation.

These events triggered a political awakening among young Somalis in Minneapolis. They had long viewed their homeland’s problems as hopelessly clan-based, but the Ethiopian campaign simplified things. Here was an external enemy against which young Somalis could unite.

The protests took on a religious dimension as well. While the United States had defended the Ethiopian invasion as a front in the global war on terrorism, many Somalis saw it as a Christian crusade into a Muslim land. They were outraged at reports of Ethiopian troops raping Somali women, looting mosques and killing civilians.

That May, he was incensed by a United States military air strike that killed Aden Hashi Ayro, a leader of the Shabaab, along with at least 10 civilians. “How dare they?” Mr. Hassan demanded one afternoon at the student center. “Who is the terrorist?”

I know there will be those who take this article to mean extreme things. I have, however, just posted it to show the workings of the Bush Administration and the potential consequences to the choices made by that Administration.

Is change in the future for Politics in America? Good or bad, all of these articles seem to imply that there may just be a change drifting in on the breezes.

And that’s the way I see it!!!
